Kokani Vade

INGREDIENTS:

 2 Cups Sohum Kokani Vada Flour
 ½ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
Coarse grind green chilies
Salt as needed
¾ Cup warm Water
Oil for Frying+ 1 tablespoon 

METHOD:

  1. In a mixing bowl, add flour, green chili paste, 1tablespoon oil ,salt
    and mix well. 
  2. Then add warm water little by little and knead stiff dough.
  3. Divide the dough into equal portions. Keep it aside.
  4. Heat oil on medium heat.
  5. Place a plastic sheet or foil on the kitchen counter, grease it with oil.
  6. Grease your fingers with little oil now take one portion of dough and
    Flatten the dough ball and roll to make a semi-thick disc using fingers.
  7. Slide it into hot oil.
  8. Fry on medium flame like puri by flipping on both sides. Press it slightly with the slotted spoon while frying which helps to puff up.  Fry until golden brown in color.
  9. Serve hot with your choice of chicken, egg or sprouts curry!
