Masoor Usal(Whole Masoor Curry) with CKP Masala

Ingredients:
1cup soaked Whole Masoor (soak for 5-6 hours)
1 small onion
2 tomatoes
1/4 cup dry coconut
1 tspn seasme seeds
4-5 garlic cloves
small piece of ginger
Tadka: oil, mustard seeds, hing, haldi
Salt to taste
1 1/2 tea spoon Pandit foods ckp masala
chili powder to taste
Method:
1. Wash and soak whole masoor for 5-6 hours drain the water and set aside.
2. In a kadhai take 1 teaspoon oil and roast onions. When the onions become little brown add dry grated coconut let it cook for few minutes, then add seasame seeds and ginger garlic and cook further for 2-3 minutes.
3. When it cools down grind it to fine paste.
4. In the kadhai add 1 tablespoon oil give tadka. Now add the onion and coconut paste and let it dry out a little then add ckp masala and chili powder. Add little water and then add Masoor. Cover the lid and let it cook for 10 minutes. Once the masoor is cooked add salt as per your requirement and adjust the spices to your taste.
Eat it with hot steaming rice or bhahakri or roti :)
